Walcha businessman Noel Hoare was honoured by making the Wall of Fame at the National Road Transport Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Alice Springs last week.
Nominated by his son Graeme Hoare, Mr Hoare was one of 200 inducted onto the wall of fame this year in front of a crowd of about 2000 people.
Noel Hoare began his trucking career helping his dad drive the family’s old Austin on their soldier settlement block in Yarrowitch, before he bought a Ford F600 and began carting for local graziers before expanding to carry to Tamworth and Macksville as well as working for his uncle, Stan Day, in Narrandera.
