Walcha Library manager Donna Garrad was presented with a Library Marketing Award in the events category at the Public Libraries State Conference last week.
Public Libraries Metropolitan in Sydney hosted the conference. The awards were open to all NSW Public Libraries staff.
In June the Walcha Library took part in the Walcha Men’s Health Forum held at the RSL in June in partnership with Walcha Hone and Community Care (HACC ) services and Hunter New England Health.
This involvement resulted in the library being recognised for it’s marketing activity.
“I would like to thank HACC Coordinator Cathy Noon,” said Mrs Garrad. “Cathy and I hope to be able to hold similar joint events in the future with Walcha Library and HACC services.”
Walcha Library was given $1500 and Mrs Garrad says the money will be spent on programs or resources.
