Mr White said schools from across the region are delighted that students are being rewarded for the commitment they have put into studying and preparing for the HSC.

“There are some great stories of achievement,” Mr White

said. “Many students have been rewarded by ranking among the state’s best while others can be proud of achieving or even exceeding their own personal goals.

“As well as offering accolades to the Year 12 achievers, it is important to acknowledge the families who have supported the students and to recognise the dedication of teachers who have prepared and nurtured the students in the years leading to the final examinations.”

Mr White said schools with students ranked on the Distinguished Achievers lists (list of students in the top band of a subject) included: Walcha, Armidale, Duval, Farrer Memorial Agricultural, Uralla, and Guyra High Schools.
