Coogee's column

21 Nov, 2009 04:00 AM
A little while back Bill Bullock was having a bit of trouble with the mobile phone in the weeds council work truck he was driving, simply because every time he picked the portable ‘dog and bone’ up when it rang no one would answer. Later that day his wife Pam asked him how his day went and he replied it was all right except no one would answer him on his mobile phone. Just as he said it the phone went off again but still no answer from the other end to which Pam informed Bill there was little wonder why. The sound he was hearing was the low battery power warning not actually a ring tone.

INDOOR Hockey secretary Lance Partridge must have had other things on his mind last week when he returned the duty box back to the home of club president Peter Hayes after hockey had finished for the night. Only problem was Lance had locked all the valuables away at the hall and had taken the first aid kit to Peter’s place by mistake.
