TRAINEE grader operator, Knights fan and Fitzroy Street resident Lee Robinson wasn’t quite on top of his game while putting in guide posts along the Blue Mountain Road last week. After his fellow council employee Gordon Michie pointed out he had put the post facing the wrong way ‘Pom’ pulled it out and corrected his error. Just after Lee put the next post in ‘Mich’ coughed encouraging ‘Pom’ to quickly mention ‘It's in right this time its exactly the same as the one on the other side of the road’. If they haven’t changed the rules most guideposts have different coloured delineators on each side of the road ‘Pom’ not the same.

‘Blackfellows Gully’ grazier and well known local artist Stephen King was lucky not to lose more than a couple of cows as he headed towards town last week. When ‘Hornie’ realised the back gate on his truck was open he pulled up opposite the Sewer Treatments Plant driveway to lock in his potential escapees. Apparently earlier in the trip two of his animals had already done the bolt.
