RUMOUR has it that ‘Glen Garry’ grazier Ian Olrich found himself in a spot of bother last weekend. While attempting to take his recently purchased new ride-on lawn mower for a spin, Ian somehow inverted the grass cutter and was bucked off his new steed. And that was all before a blade of grass had been trimmed.

WITH Father’s Day just around the corner Ian’s son Glen suddenly came up with what to get his dad as a present. ‘Gleno’ suggested maybe a hard hat and a set of spurs for his old man so Ian could break in the new steed and teach it how to stand on all fours.

JAMIESON Street resident, Dragons supporter and council truck driver Philip Chandler found a new friend last Friday night although it was an unexpected one. While enjoying a quiet ale at the Newie ‘Paddles’ was confronted by a Labrador dog who became very friendly sniffing around his lower torso region. The pooch belonged to the Drug Squad who was on patrol around town checking a few spots out.
