Last Sunday a three person ambrose was played for trophies donated by Dave Anderson, Simeon Cross and Fred Henry and although they produced the best score of 57 5/6 they were ineligible to collect the prize.

Woolbrook trio John McLaren, Anthony Uren and Andrew Crawford were declared the winners after carding a 59 1/6 nett. Sweepstakes went to prize suppliers, Tim Beaumont, John Porter and Julie Olrich 61 1/3, Don Brooks, Barry and Julie Hoad on 62 1/8. Sharpest shooters at the pins were AJ Brennan on the third and John McLaren on the 18th. Once again wet weather caused the vets to call off their weekly nine-hole competition on Saturday. Members are reminded there will be a working bee this Saturday with firewood cutting the main item on the agenda. For more details contact captain Willy Brennan please.’

This Sunday is a New England Mutual stroke medal round for trophies donated by Rob Brazel, Ray Boyd and Bill Heazlett.
