My apologies for my interlude with this column but I am now able to get about a bit better and can once again take up where I left off before the operation.
Many thanks to all of you out there who sent me get well wishes while I was in hospital it really helped me get through what has been a pretty tough time.
On the local racing scene it has been a long wait for the Lot Seventy syndicate, with that horse coming back from an enforced lay off due to injury. Lot Seventy was having his second start back at Warwick Farm on Tuesday when he ran a very good race considering he lost his position early and was forced to race well back in the field. When making his run he was forced really wide and did well to finish third to eventual winner Kings Pride.
