Even though there has been plenty of racing of late there has been very little activity for locally owned horses.
We have to mention the run of the Robert Wayte-shared Lot Seventy, though as the run was enormous. Lot Seventy was named as such because the syndicate of owners were grasping at names for their newly acquired commodity.
He was lot number 70 in the book so he inherited that name. Lot Seventy has really come of age this campaign having put in a sterling performance at the Scone carnival in a race he should have won but for some bad luck in the running.
He then went on to win his next start, proving the run before should have been a victory for his owners.
