THE Walcha Rams slight hope of making the 2010 Central North Rugby semi finals remain alive after they accounted for Scone 33-14 down south last Saturday. The visitors scored five tries to one with Lachlan Brown leading the way with a double.

THE reserve grade Rams were also successful running in six tries to one as they downed Scone 34-8 with Dougall Eliott touching down for a brace of ‘meat pies’. This Saturday it will be a battle of the Rams when Barraba travel here to play at the Park. Best of luck to both grades.

COUNCIL engineering staff member Matt Maxwell was a member of the UNE Nomads Aussie Rules team that put the cleaners through the Muswellbrook Cats last weekend. The Nomads belted the Cats 29 goals, 11 behinds 185 to 8.4.52 with Matty contributing three goals and the team is currently in third spot on the Tamworth AFL ladder.
