It may have happened somewhere else but certainly hasn’t taken place here before which may or may not make old die-hards of either code roll over in their graves.
At noon the Walcha Jillaroos will take on the Dungowan Cowgirls in their ladies League Tag match to be followed by the Group 4 second division fixture between the Rams and the Cowboys at 1.15pm.
Around 3pm the Walcha Rams will do battle with the Gunnedah Red Devils in their Central North game.
Admission, set by Central North, is $8 per adult and as the gates takings are going to a very worthy cause don’t be to worried about rounding it off to a $10.
A reminder under liquor licensing laws that no alcohol may be brought onto the ground. Full kiosk and barbecue facilities will be on offer throughout the afternoon.
Don’t forget the Tour de Rocks auction at the Bowling Club following the footy.
