Walcha was defeated by Werris Creek 19-18 in extra time after veteran Stewart Porter kicked a field goal from half way to win the match.

The Roos were first to score when second rower Lachlan Brown crossed for a try and then fullback Dean Kelly increased the lead to 8-0 when he touched down after backing up to take the ball.
The home side responded with a converted try before back rower Chris Broadbent steamed onto the ball to cross adjacent to the goal posts leaving winger Tim baumer an easy kick which he was successful with.
Once again the Magpies bounced back with another converted try to leave the score at 14-12 at half time.
Twenty five minutes had elapsed in the second stanza before another point was scored and this time it was the Creek who hit the front for the first time in the game with yet another converted try to give them an 18-14 advantage.
With five minutes remaining Lachlan Brown looked set to score under the posts until the Creek fullback stole the ball off him one on one. Two minutes later Tim Baumer looked certain to score after outpacing the opposition from the halfway line until he was ruled to have knocked on while placing the ball on the ground. With time just about up, front rower Luke Brown out muscled his opponents to score a try that tied the match up.
Goal kicker Tim Baumer just missed with his conversion attempt which forced the match into overtime and he rest is now history.
Unfortunately the Roos lost lock Jock Abraham in the first few minutes of the game with a broken leg which will see him miss the rest of the season.
