Last Saturday he travelled to Port Macquarie and had a win with General Longstreet in the opening event of the day at very juicy odds - it even surprised George.
General Longstreet gave them a bath in that race scoring by an impressive 1.5 lengths.
George has a string of nominations and acceptances again this week.
He has nominations and acceptances at Moree on Thursday, Taree on Friday and Quirindi on Monday. At Moree he will have two good chances with Maboots and Safe World.
Maboots will be coming off a last start third at Tamworth two weeks ago and has a definite chance.
Safe World is also coming off a last start at Tamworth two weeks ago and is also in with a good chance of enhancing his career.
At Taree on Friday he will travel with the consistent Minimos. Minimos had three straight wins before his last start fourth at Musswellbrook.
The run was full of merit and he was also going up in class in that race.
His travelling companion on Friday will be The Captain’s Wife who is struggling a little to find form but is in a race to suit.
At Quirindi on Monday George will have Dave and Amanda Murrell’s Kay Beas Lad engaged along with Dixie Miss and Devoted Prosecutor.
Kay Beas Lad will be endeavouring to reproduce his maiden run two starts back which was encouraging and pointed to him also going on to better things.
Dixie Miss and Devoted Prosecutor will be out to prove their stable worth with an improvement on their recent form and a win from either would not surprise.
At Quirindi on Monday Peter and Helen Wauch will also be hoping for a change of luck for the consistent Star Of Dubai.
A win by him would not surprise also as he is one of the most consistent horses in work right now.
Jill Nivison will be hoping Jefferson Park can emulate his last start narrow victory in Brisbane on Saturday at Doomben.
Jefferson Park is stepping up in class, but his gutsy narrow win last time was a bottler and a repeat performance would not be a surprise.
