Staff will be raising funds for the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia through a pink morning tea and selling the 2015 Australian Women’s Health Diary. Since the diary was first printed in 1999, it has raised more than $10 million for vital breast cancer research.
Local branch manager Margaret Gardiner said they all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer.
“Our fundraising activity will support life changing clinical trials research to improve the treatment and prevention of breast cancer,” she said. “We encourage the local community to join us as we support the institute this Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
