Janelle Archdale, Hazel Cameron, Kevin Ferrier and Doug Laurie are calling a meeting to gauge community interest.
“We wish to hold a meeting so that everyone can discuss the matter and hopefully form a committee to put progressive ideas into effect,” Mr Laurie said.
“We urge the people of Walcha to support this concept and feel great progress could be made in the areas of additional industry, shopping locally, and tourism.
“We would also like to enhance the exciting art scene and open air gallery and take on many other initiatives, working closely with Walcha Council for the good of us all.
“We would be very pleased if many of the enterprising newcomers to the district would get involved.”
The meeting will be held on February 18, from 5.30pm in the dining room of the Apsley Arms hotel.
