The calming and uniting effect of animals was evident last week when the Apsley Riverview Hostel invited Walcha Preschool children to attend a pet therapy day at Riverview Aged Care.

The children also had an outside ride on the ponies overlooking the Apsley River.
Ponies for Parties went to the hostel for the morning bringing with them two ponies to visit the residents.
The ponies were taken inside the building and both residents and children were able to feed, pat and talk to the ponies while the children also had an outside ride on the ponies overlooking the Apsley River.
According to everyone the event was a great success.
