The first to 31 shots contest took 26 ends to complete and the winner was never headed after he took the lead on the third end.
Nathan made a strong start on the opening end where he collected two shots to grab an early advantage before candidly suggesting the weather at that stage looked a bit dodgy and it may be a good idea to call the final off with the winner to be declared on what the score was right then.
After 12 ends Kyle led 13-6 before Nathan produced a mini comeback with his best end of the match, where he scored three shots to reduce the lead to 13-9.
It wasn’t until the 25th end that the champion handed in his best effort of the match when he picked up four shots to shoot away to a 28-12 advantage.
The ‘fat lady’ wasn’t singing just yet but she was doing a lot of humming and within three more ends it was all over baby blue.
Nathan was full of praise for his brother who celebrated well into the night, happy with his achievement and rightly so.
Kyle has now won titles in 2008, 2011, 2013 and 2015 prompting Bowling Club publicity officer Denis Makeham to suggest both the Goodwin boys along with their father Steve (who has won 10 singles titles of his own) could dominate the singles championship for anything up to the next two decades.
