I would like to congratulate Janelle Archdale, Scott Schmutter and all the other Walcha Councillors over the last four years for the great job they have done. The work the Council did on the Apsley River in town looks so good. It is amazing what vision and determination can achieve.

The Walcha Council and staff have battled through a very difficult and frustrating time during their last term and they have made decisions which have placed Walcha in a very sound financial position. I have nominated to stand for Council in A Ward because, I believe, if elected, I can make a positive contribution to the overall running and decision-making process.
Some of the services which I feel I can contribute to which will make Walcha a better place are : ensuring water security; the implementation of a robust mobile service and internet connection both in town and around the Walcha District and input into tree planting, parks, gardens, sculptures and the streetscape including pedestrian safety on the Fitzroy Street Bridge
The maintenance of town and rural roads as well as promoting our cool climate and encouraging retirees to live in Walcha to help grow our population is also a priority.
I would also like to look at the feasibility of an indoor sports and fitness centre with gymnasium, heated pool, hydrotherapy pool and squash court which could incorporate a children’s play area.
I have served on Walcha Council in the past and, with your support, I would like to have another go at representing the Walcha residents.
