In the last seventeen years Mrs Hoy has raised more than $19,000 for the Cancer Council NSW and she is keen to keep the donations coming.
Jenny has held her annual event since 2004 and every year she is amazed by the generosity and support of the community.
“The Walcha Tennis Association will be hosting this annual fundraiser for the Cancer Council on Thursday May 25 and everyone is welcome to join us for a cuppa and a chat,” said Mrs Hoy.
“If you are new to town it is a great way to meet people. I am really looking forward to another wonderful Biggest Morning Tea.”
The event will begin at 10am, at the Tennis Association club house in Angle Street ( the river side of Walcha Central School).
Now in its 24th year, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is one of Cancer Council’s leading fundraising events and the largest, most successful event of its kind in Australia.
Join Jenny and more than 11,500 morning tea hosts across NSW to help raise over $4.8 million across NSW for Cancer Council’s research, prevention, advocacy and support programs.
As an organisation that’s 96 per cent community funded, Cancer Council NSW relies on the generous donations of its supporters.
A new Australian-first study by Cancer Council NSW has estimated the impact of HPV vaccination and HPV-based cervical screening on the future burden of adenocarcinoma, a type of cervical cancer.
Research like this study is made possible by donations from events like Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
