On Tuesday, the car was involved in a fail-to-stop crash in Uralla before it led officers on two chases including in Armidale.
Shortly before 10am on Wednesday, highway patrol spotted the stolen car again in Niagara St but the pursuit was terminated shortly after “due to the dangerous manner of driving” after the driver ran a give-way sign, travelling along Rusden and into Barney Streets.
Detective Inspector Joy said the driving was incredibly dangerous because “there were a number of pedestrians” around at the time.
“Obviously police are calling for any other witnesses who saw the stolen white Corolla to come forward,” she said.
We would urge the driver to hand himself in. The vehicle has been seized for forensic examination and investigations are continuing.
