The suspension applies to the Armidale Regional, Uralla and Walcha local government areas.
Dangerous fire weather conditions are prevalent this week with a Very High Fire Danger Rating.
On Wednesday temperatures were 10 degrees above average with wind speeds of 40-55km per hour, gusting up to 80km per hour.
Any landholders with an existing fire permit are advised not to light given the weather conditions.Fires will spread quickly under these conditions.
