AFLNW junior presentations for the 2017 season were held after the senior grand final in Gunnedah on September 9.
Morgan Dunn received two awards, winning best and fairest and leading goal kicker, after he kicked 28 goals for the season.
The best and fairest award was voted on by the coaches after each match.
The day after the grand final, New England Nomad Juniors had their presentation day and Dunn received the club best and fairest award.
Other Walcha winners were leading goal kicker Brayden Bloomfield, Rory Jessop who won best clubman and Teraia Masters who received the award for best first year player.
The Junior Nomads’ presentation consisted of a barbecue lunch, award presentations and then all juniors and their friends were invited to participate in a Ninja course that the Nomad junior committee set up on Bellevue Oval.
This course saw participants timed as they had to complete each physical challenge and them complete a mental challenge as they had to consume some not so tasty food,eg spaghetti and ice-cream, party cocktails in custard and jelly with tomato sauce.
Eventual male and female Nomad Ninja champions were Zeke Johnstone of Armidale and Thea Dunn of Walcha.
