Men’s golf
Sunday, October 15 saw a stableford played for Victoria Heffernan's trophy. The winner was David Sweeney with 41 points. S/Stakes went to D. Dunn, R. Baumer, D. Brooks, A. Gill, C. Morgan and M. Archdale. Vickie also supplied golf balls for the longest drive on 6, A grade went to Cheryl McDonald, B grade D. Brooks and C grade N. Dark. In the matchplay game, David Dunn def Brooksy at the 20th hole. David now plays Miles Archdale in the final. Nearest-the-pins, on 9 V. Heffernan, 16 L. Rennie. Skippy Mcdonald had an eagle on 6. In the Saturday morning 9 hole game, J. Mann won the men's with D. Dunn runner-up, while V. Szpitalak won the ladies with V. Heffernan runner-up. Sunday, October 22 is the Colleen Cross 4bbb mixed event with an individual in conjunction. The golf will kick off at 1pm after a midday barbecue. At 10am, there will be golf lessons for juniors.

Ladies golf
This week was the first round of the Eclectic. It was a stroke event with a putting competition and a monthly mug. Jenny Lisle was the sponsor. There were good scores but Donna Martin showed the way with a 68 nett. Penny King followed with 69 nett and Vicki Szpitalak counted out Julie Hoad and Coll King all on 72 nett. Penny King won the putting competition with 24 putts. There was a prize for the 2nd shot on 1 which was won by Jeanette Wark and a 2nd shot on 18 which Donna just beat Julie Hoad by a whisker. Division 1 of the monthly mug went to Donna. Division 2 went to Vicki and Division 3 was Jeanette's prize. Next week is a stableford event for the Patron's trophy.
