Pippie was selected to represent Zone 4, along with Glenn Innes' Miss Showgirl Laura Hollingworth, at the state finals at the upcoming Royal Easter Show in Sydney.
There were about 200 people at the formal event on Saturday night, which included an impromptu interview of each of the 14 contestants and the sashing of the winners.
In a neat twist, both girls are distant cousins who used to ride horses together.
They will head off to Sydney in April for final interviews and then take part in official Showgirl activities such as visiting the Westmead Children's Hospital, conducting various show steward duties and sashing different classes.
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl Competition. Over 500 young women enter the Competition annually throughout NSW, with competitions run by around 120 Show Societies.
Organisers will announce the 2012 winner and honour all Showgirl State Finalists, past and present, at a cocktail function during the 2012 Sydney Royal Easter Show on April 14.
Walcha Show Society Secretary Don Murchie said Pippie was only the second Walcha Showgirl in history to make it to the Sydney finals and the committee had strong hopes that she would be the first to win.
"Pippie certainly has all the credentials," he said.
"I've been involved with the Walcha Showgirl competition for many years and when I read Pippie's application I knew she would do well."
