Amaroo Local Aboriginal Lands Council (LALC) has branched out into the retail clothing sector with the purchase of the stock of City Pre-Loved.

The LALC leased retail space to the previous owner and decided to take on the business when it was notified the enterprise would be closing down due to a coastal move by the former proprietor.
“We didn’t want to see the shop shut down so we decided to take it over,” said Amaroo Committee member Alena Stackman.
“It is operated and run by Amaroo members and all profits go back into the community.”
The shop offers a range of clothing and accessories for both adults and children at very affordable prices.
“Most of the stock is brand new and with the original price tag attached,” Ms Stackman said.
“We go down to Sydney and bring back new stock every couple of weeks.”
City PreLoved is located near the Amaroo office in Derby Street and is open Monday to Friday.
