Two-time NSW 4BBB Sandgreen Golf Champion Wayne Brennan won his first Walcha A Grade Championship last Sunday with a four-round total of 292. He also won the Nick Cross Memorial trophy for best overall nett score with 271, two clear of both John Mann and David Sweeney.

Runner-up in A Grade was Anthony Smith on 304. John Mann took out B Grade with 330 from Lee Fletcher 334 while club president Allan Green snuck home in C Grade 374 from Max Holstien 375.
Club captain Will Brennan won the Veterans Championship with a two-round total of 159, just a stroke ahead of Simeon Cross 160. Last Saturday, David Sweeney won the winner of the secretary’s trophy donated by Jenny Lisle after he carded a 65 nett while on Sunday.
John Mann defeated Don Brooks in a playoff to claim the President’s prize. In match play, Crichton Barr defeated Bill Fletcher 8 and 7.
Last Saturday, Peter Sendall won the Veterans nine-hole competition with 17 stableford points. Runner-up was Col Higgins on 16 while in the ladies division, Jenny Lisle 14 won from Lorraine Rennie 13.
