The dawn service will commence at 6.00am at the Walcha Memorial Park Cenotaph. Afterwards, breakfast will be provided at the Walcha Ex-Services Club. The cost for breakfast is a gold coin donation, and everyone is invited.
For the 11.00 am service in Walcha Memorial Park, all personnel intending to march are requested to gather at the corner of South, and Hill Streets at 10.30 am.
The march will be led by Piper Mitch Crawford, followed by the representatives of the 12th/16th Hunter River Lancers who will also call the March. They will be followed by ex-service and service personnel followed up by community participants and schools.
“We are very fortunate to have both Piper Mitch Crawford and the Sing Australia Walcha Group performing at both the dawn and 11 am services,” said Walcha RSL chapter vice president Liz Gill.
“The 12th/16th Hunter River Lancers will be providing the catafalque party for the 11.00 am service and our guest of honour for the day will be Mrs Sandra Lambkin, President of the New England District Council of RSL (NSW).”
David Salter will be doing a flyover when the march continues after the 11.00 am service.
At the end of the 11 am service the parade participants will fall in on the corner of Hill and Derby Streets and the march will then proceed downhill on Derby Street to turn right into Fitzroy Street.
Lunch will be provided by the RSL Women's Auxilliary at the Walcha Ex-Services Club for a gold coin donation.After lunch, the traditional game of two-up will be held.
