“A committee was formed recently to organise the events and we will announce details soon,” said Vicki McIvor.
“We are hoping that lots of people can come along and have a great weekend with family, friends, former school mates and others who may have lived and worked in the area. Anyone interested is welcome to help make this a fantastic event. “
The Tia Church will be 100 years old this year, and Mrs McIvor said a grant had been applied for to help with restorations.
“Kevin Anderson will be presenting a cheque on the Friday and unveiling plaques which dedicate the church as a War Memorial,” she said.
“Many other things are being planned, such as Remembrance Day Service, photo and memorabilia display, a barbecue and Tia Church service.
