“As part of the reunion an Honour Roll will be unveiled in the Tia Union Church/War Memorial for people who have served since WW2 from this area,” said Mrs Vicki McIvor.
“This would include Korea, Malaya, Vietnam and recent conflicts. National Service 1952-59 and 1965-1972 and Reserve Forces/CMF will also be included.”
Mrs McIvor said Walcha historian Vic Galvin had a list of people who have served in all conflicts from the Walcha area and he would appreciate additional names from across the area as well.
“If you have served or know someone that has, please phone or send your details to either Ross Hoy or Vic Galvin,” she said.
Mr Galvin said 125 people from the Walcha region had lost their lives in action since World War 1 and some of those were from the Tia area.
The Tia reunion will be held in Tia from Friday November 10 to Sunday November 12.
