Walcha ladies win 4BBB Open

Last Sunday, the Walcha Ladies 4BBB Open was contested with players from Inverell, The Longyard Barraba, Werris Creek, Tamworth, Guyra and Delungra supporting the event.

Walcha club champion Cheryl McDonald and her sister, Donna Martin, won the scratch section of the event with 31 stableford points, which equates to 45 points nett. Nett winners were another local duo, Polly Locke and Barb Mulligan, also with 45 points.

Runners-up were Libby Thompson and Lyn Groth, from Barraba. 

Sweepstakes went to Jill Burnell and Vicki Heffernan, Longyard pair Toni Clifton and Pam Hall, Jenny Lisle and Lorraine Rennie, Inverell players Marlen Ballenger and Jan Frater, local Debbie Richards and her silent partner Libby Thompson, Wendy Jackson and Pip White from Guyra along with Simone Sweeney and Prue Morgan.

Best front nine Rose Baumer and Julie Presnell. 

Best back nine Penny King and Marg Parsons. 

Longest drive: div one – Cheryl McDonald; div two – Polly Locke and Barb Mulligan.

Second shot on 18 – Penny King and Judy Lamb both put their shots in the hole.
