Sixty students aged between 1 and 16 years old performed 33 routines before family and friends.
The concert marked the end of a big year for studio proprietor Rebecca Hoy.
“This year's concert was bigger than any other years,” said Ms Hoy.
“We introduced mini-magic last year as a group for the tiny ones with the thinking that ‘if you can walk you can dance’. We have also introduced hip-hop this year with both senior classes joining.
Ms Hoy said the demand for classes was growing in the community.
“We just keep getting bigger each year. There is a lot of talent in Walcha, and for this concert, we introduced singing,” she said.
“This year we performed for Riverview and competed in the Armidale Eisteddfod and danced at the Farmers Markets... Destiny Dance Studio is all for Walcha, and we love showing everyone our talent.”
Next year the studio will be bigger than ever according to Ms Hoy.
“We will be performing at the Australia Day breakfast in McHattan Park and the Walcha Relay for Life event next year and we will also introduce three new classes,” she said.
“The new classes will be Feet of wonder, a fun cardio and dance routines just for mums; Feet of fire, a boys-only class; and a tap class.”
The concert would not be possible without the support of her friends and family the mother of one said.
“I would like to thank all my students for their effort this year,” she said.
“They’re all amazing, and I’m very lucky to have them all not only as my students but as my very close friends. The concert would not be able to go ahead without such wonderful help and the support of Walcha.”
For those who need another fix of dance before Christmas Ms Hoy is running a Christmas dance workshop from December 4 to December 8 for students aged between two and sixteen.
“Parents are invited to come and watch on the Friday to see what they have learned,” Ms Hoy said.
