The event was hosted by New England Mountain Bikers Club (NEMTB) and the University of New England in Armidale over the weekend.
Feltham competed in the under 17 men’s division.
After putting in a mammoth effort, the young gun finished seventh.
The championships were held at the SportUNE Mountain Bike Trails as 114 competitors took part in the two-day event.
The titles were raced in the Cross Country Olympic (XCO) format which involves a lap race on a 4.8-kilometre track with competitors completing between two and seven laps. NEMTB president Peter Hosking said he was happy that Armidale had once again presented a professional event with all the supporting facilities people could ask for.
