Annalisa Ferraris and Dan Kyle have been the best of friends since they met at the National Art School a decade ago and since an initial show at the Walcha Gallery of Art in 2010 with two other friends (including Walcha artist and fellow former National Art School student Gemma King) they have each frequently exhibited in Walcha.

“Coming here is a chance to be able to exhibit together as we are represented by different galleries in Sydney, and our work is quite different,” Ms Ferraris said.

“Being able to come up here and see the works together is very nice.”

“This is the first time ever that we have had a joint exhibition and our personal life is important here too,” Mr Kyle said.

Dan lives in, and is inspired by, the Australian bush while Annalisa is a confirmed urbanite with a love of architecture – particularly art deco, however for this exhibit she has introduced Australian native floral still lifes into her work.
