Some of the highlights of this year’s show - which will run on March 9 and 10 - will be the famous peanut drop, Chris Pearson’s fireworks and a varied and entertaining ring program.

“Walcha Show features many events to keep the public entertained,” said Vice President Miles Archdale. “We are strongly supported by the Showmen’s Guild, many itinerant traders and showbag providers and car and machinery distributors.
“Friday feature events include a large ring program of horse events and showjumping, a wonderful pavilion display with the best wool exhibition around, merino sheep, prime lambs, and a heifer show.”
Some of the popular events with visitors on the Friday night will be the dog high jumping and Chris Pearson’s fireworks.
Saturday’s program includes the famous peanut drop, the demolition derby, an ag bike competition, pet show, fashion parade, yard dog trials and the stud cattle show.
To top off the exciting array of daytime events, there will be a rodeo on the Saturday night.
The show will also have a number of catering options available for visitors including the Lion’s Club barbecue, Sonia’s lovely lunches, the bar, Wendy’s ice creams and Potato Max.
Entry to the show will cost adults $12, children under 17 years $2, children under six years are free and a family ticket will cost $25. Membership will cost $30 and includes a member's guest and two children’s tickets under 15 and a vehicle.
