The Walcha chapter of Quota International was the host for 2018 and 59 members and partners from the Walcha Lions Club, Quota International and Rotary gathered at the local Bowling Club.
The guest speakers for the night were from Backtrack in Armidale. The not-for-profit group was founded by Bernie Shakeshaft in 2006 and he has created a model of youth work that makes a real impact and achieves life changing results for young people.
Paul Dawson is the Backtrack ag-lads coordinator who shares his passion for the land with young people. He spoke about his aim to train troubled youth to become work ready and reach their dreams and goals. He then introduced Phil from Uralla who is one of his success stories.
