Jesse Green, 27, was charged with killing the 22-year-old in her South Tamworth unit on March 28, after a neighbour found her body and reported it to police.
Green remains in custody at Silverwater Correctional Centre in Sydney and did not appear in court during the brief proceedings.
Detectives have been ordered to compile further extensive evidence to be served on Green’s Legal Aid defence solicitor, Wendy McAuliffe.
He made no application for bail.
Magistrate Mark Richardson told the court Green was to appear via audiovisual link on the next occasion in September.
“There are police matters here, madam prosecutor, the resist and damage property charges,” he said.
Green faces charges of resisting police, damaging property, larceny, using an offensive weapon to commit an indictable offence, and murder – but is yet to enter a plea.
The charges relate to property offences in the Oxley Vale and South Tamworth areas and are adjourned to the same date as the murder charge, the court heard.

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) solicitor Cat McKay appeared in the matter on Wednesday, and agreed to the service of the remaining items of the brief by mid-August, with the defence to reply to the charges when the case returns to court in September.
The Leader understands the brief of evidence is extensive. Green is the only person charged in relation to the murder.
Green has been in custody since his arrest in Tamworth on April 5 during a series of raids by Oxley police and Strike Force Penola, investigating a series of break-and-enters.
The strike force was launched by the State Crime Command’s homicide squad and Oxley detectives to investigate Ms Luckwell’s murder.
Police believe Green was known to Ms Luckwell before he allegedly attacked and murdered her in her South Tamworth unit.
A neighbour made the macabre discovery of her body at the Robert Street apartment, before police were alerted at around 9.30pm on March 28.
