The Jillaroos finished second on the table to earn a spot in the major semi-final. It will also be their first finals berth in Group 19.
It will be the fourth time Walcha and Uralla have clashed this year with the Tigers claiming the round one and round eight encounters and the Jillas taking out their most recent round 15 match.
“The girls have been training well and are pretty keen to get on the field against Uralla,” Roos president Michael Aspinall said. .
“We got the win the last time we played them but semi-finals are a whole new ball game and the girls are expecting Uralla to come out firing, especially with a spot in the grand final up for grabs.
“The Jillaroos won’t be quite at full-strength with a few girls away for the weekend but they will still have a strong side.”
The game at Uralla’s Woodville Oval begins at 12pm and Aspinall is hoping the Walcha community can venture to the neighbouring town to support the girls.
“Uralla is not too far away and we hope that the Walcha community come over and cheer on the Jillaroos,” he said.
“The team will also be wearing black armbands to honour a young member of our community who passed away earlier this week.”
There will also be a minute’s silence prior to the kick-off.
The men’s major semi-final between Uralla and Guyra will commence after the league tag clash.
