Tomorrow night between 6-9pm is the official opening with a glass of wine on entry and nibbles for the cost of $5 per person. Then the display is on show from 9am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
“The ‘Villa Wolka Woolshed’ is a great venue for the quilt display and the night viewing under the big lights is certainly well worth a look,” said Walcha quilt maker Vicki McIvor.
“The weekend entry fee is $2 per person and we will have morning and afternoon tea plus sandwiches for a light lunch.
“The Walcha and district quilt makers should be very proud of the high standard of sewing and the quality of work which goes into making their quilts, enabling them to hold this wonderful event here in our town each year.”
Mrs McIvor said anyone wishing to display their quilts can deliver them between 12.30 and 4pm on today at Langford wool shed for sorting.
“Please label your quilts with names and phone number, and add a little story of your quilt if you have one,” she said.
