WALCHA Touch Football held their AGM on Thursday. President Ben Ussher was re-elected unopposed and has begun his fifth season as the head honcho. Kristy Lawrence remains secretary, while Tanesha Southeron is the new treasurer.
TOUCH team organisers should be aware that nominations for the 2018-19 season close this Sunday night with Kristy Lawrence. A decision was made at the AGM that no late nominations would be taken, so it would be a good idea if you are not sure your team has been nominated, to check!
THERE will be new A Grade premiers this season as reigning champions “Sprayers” have disbanded and aren’t nominating. Some of their players are still having a run though, just with other teams.
AN item on the agenda was abuse of referees will not be tolerated and any offender that is required to front the judiciary can expect time out of the game. Hopefully, Jack O’Hara, Bonnie Brown and myself don’t have to hand out any suspensions this season.
