The 2018 Walcha Mountain Festival was a perfect demonstration of a green drought this year. The recent misty rainfall resulted in a glorious verdant backdrop to Langford House, the home of the event on Sunday.

However, the recent light rainfall was not enough to fill the dam which is chronically low, so the model boats were kept high and dry on land as there was not enough water to operate them safely.
But with vintage cars, and antique machinery, there was still plenty of action around the grounds for visitors and the children enjoyed the rock climbing and the lolly scatter.
The partly cloudy weather was perfect for the crowd who enjoyed live music from The Grimlings, The Foundlings and Goldheist as well as a supergroup formed by members from each of the acts.
At the end of the day the heavens opened and a dramatic electrical storm concluded the day in true spring fashion.
