Following a free sausage sizzle and children’s lolly scramble, the local Sing Australia choir led the crowd to sing both popular and traditional Christmas carols.
Rotarian Barry Spry emceed the evening and also used the opportunity to ask the community to join the club to support the existing members – many of whom were part of the team who staged the first Carols by Candlelight event more than four decades ago.
The family fun continued after the carols when many drove off to see the Christmas light displays around the town and the wonderful nativity scene set up in the grounds of the Anglican Church.
