Andrew Clermont has widely toured for decades from Tamworth to Estonia, USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Kenya, Tanzania, and Southeast Asia. You may have seen him with Totally Gourdgeous, at the Tamworth Country Music Festival or just about any festival anywhere.
“Andrew is famous throughout Australia, and attracts an astonishing array of performer friends wherever he goes,” Nowendoc resident Nena Hicks said.
“He is joined by his minstrels Brookie and Daniel Gillett, and guitar sensation Anthony Walmsley. The four stole our hearts in June – now we can catch up with them again.”
Internationally renowned didgeridoo maestro Mark Atkins will be a special guest. Mark has performed with the Canberra Symphony and the Australian Chamber Orchestras, and is a celebrated storyteller, composer and visual artist. His story “Roadtrain” is a classic – evocative of the Australian outback, hilarious and hypnotic. (Whoever thought it was humanly possible to play a didg and speak at the same time!)
Nowendoc’s country/soul musician and songwriter Dan Higgins will make his first appearance at the Nowendoc Hall, joining our regular bagpipe rocker Felix Peake.
To get you well into the mood for a fabulous year, Andrew Clermont and friends will bring you a bold taste of the 2019 Supper Club.
“The best of human creativity and imagination will pour from the fiddle, mandolin, guitar, voice, didgeridoo, banjo, bagpipes and bass,” Ms Hicks said. “Foot stomping, clapping (in time!) and general good cheer are mandated.”
Tea and coffee will be on sale at the end of the evening with homemade goodies.
Tickets are $30. To buy them, send a message to Andrew on 0407 753809. Just type “NOW” for bank details to pay; and save Andrew’s reply as your ticket. Alternatively, you can pay on the night. Please bring the correct amount to assist our friendly volunteers. School students under 12 years are free.
