“There’s a full horse program during the day, but there will of course be entertainment during the day. There’ll be all the fun of the rides and the show food and our traditional fireworks in the evenings.
“The Pavillion’s great. The Garden Club are participating and they alway do a good job. Their display is fantastic. We’ve got our traditional things involving all the kids from the schools and all the tried and noted cooks from the stations near and far.”
Bill said in spite of the drought the gardening section had an excellent display.
“We haven’t included a great deal of new things at this stage because once again we’re just settling some new people in and we’ve got some new volunteers, and just getting them used to how the show works will take at least one show,” he said.
“When we had to cancel the show last year we got quite a bit of interest from the community. There were quite a few who were dissapointed there was no show who said ‘If you had only asked us we would have helped.’
“So we’ve asked them. The show is a bit less than three weeks away and we’re still looking for teams of workers, but I think its looking pretty good at this stage.”
Anyone who might be able to volunteer is certainly enouraged to do do so by contacting the show society.
