As her husband Wayne will tell you, Cath just loved her time as a horse trainer at the Walcha Racetrack.
In honour of Cathie, the Brennan family and a few friends will be sponsoring a prize which will go to the leading jockey on the day.
As her husband Wayne will tell you, Cath just loved her time as a horse trainer at the Walcha Racetrack.
Cath obtained her trainer’s licence in the early 1990s before training 90 winners including Noble Conquest, who won in Tamworth, and Brisbane race winner Mutual Attraction.
Racing.com lists Cathie as having won prize money of $139,110 since 2000 with a 33 per cent place-getting rate.
Catherine Maree Brennan (nee Meredith) was born July 31, 1967 and left this world on August 6, 2018.
As I said in What’s the Goss back in August, Cathie was the strongest, kindest and most genuine person one could ever meet.
She was a very generous and selfless person with a heart of gold who was always more worried about everyone else than herself, even during her lengthy illness. She held up the spirits of all those around her.
