More than 80 of the most experienced residents of Walcha gathered in the Bowling Club to enjoy lunch and listen to the bush poet 'Bill Kearns'.
Mr Kearns recited his poems which paint the humorous side of life situations from line dancing to seniors outings.

The theme of this year's annual celebration of the accumulation of years on earth was 'love your life', and given the number of smiles and laughter in the room, it looks like the elders of Walcha certainly do.
NSW Seniors Festival is the largest festival for seniors in the Southern Hemisphere, reaching up to 500,000 seniors each year.
The event is designed to celebrate the role seniors play and the contributions they make to the community, and it gives those over 60 the chance to make new friends or get together with old ones at local community events.
