A special Mass was held in the chapel at St Patrick's Primary School earlier this month when the 2019 student leadership team received their badges and pledged to be kind and helpful to their classmates, teachers and parents.

The team was elected late last year following individual speeches on 'why you should vote for me'.
School Captain Bateson Pittman said he didn't let nerves get to him.
"I felt quite confident and comfortable doing public speaking to the students and teachers at school," he said.
"Even though I was nervous, it didn't get me down, and I could do it without the nerves affecting me."
Fellow school captain Abigail van Eyk's speech focused on caring, and her peers say she also did her best to build a relationship with the younger children.
House captains Oliver Greig, Tahlia Bird, Darcy Macpherson and Ella Luchich, said they were looking forward to handing out the sport shed equipment and leading the Blue and Red teams during the sports carnival.
