IT isn't the first time the dynamic duo have won state titles. "Brenno" combined with Simeon Cross to win the scratch event here at Walcha in 2003 and then teamed up with his son Andrew to get the job done at Hay in 2016.
IN 2003, Peter Norbury joined forces with Phil Perry to win the nett event before Rodger Jamieson and Mark Peters won the scratch here in Walcha in 2004, the same year Jim Nivison and Nick Hall won the nett.
LAST weekend, Allan Green and Miles Archdale finished eighth on 89 points (42, 47). Jack O'Hara and A. J. Cross came ninth on 88 (41, 47), Owen Presnell and Mal Ballard were 48th on 78 (36, 42) equal with Neil Dark and Willy Brennan on 78 (43, 35), while Jim Nivison and Ross King ended up 62nd on 73 (39, 34).

ROUND Swamp allrounder Ben France had the highest aggregate for batting during the past season after he finished the competition with 596 runs. Runner-up was Colts opener Ed Blomfield with 507, followed by Cameron Wood 477, Brad Partridge 387, Nick Endacott 321, Daniel Boyd 303, Barry Hoy 296, Lee Harrison 293, Jacob Sherrin 288, Nathan Swann 280, Andrew Fuller 229, Lachie Fletcher 170 and Jay Grills 169, who all scored 150 runs or more to qualify for the averages.
IN the past 40 years, only three batsmen have scored over 500 runs in a season - Mark Peters, 604 in 1990 at an average of 120.8, 571 in 1987 at 142.75 and 542 in 1985; Kyle Goodwin, 509 at an average of 127.25; and Rob Laurie, 505 in 1990 at 72.14.
BEFORE that, Max Holstien made 840 runs during the 1968-69 season, Lance Kermode accumulated 825 in 1968, Laurie Little racked up 778 in 1947, while Neville Holsien scored 776 in 1966. Back then, two-day cricket was played instead of limited overs.
ELEVEN bowlers captured 10 or more wickets to qualify for the averages this season - Andrew Fuller and Jay Grills both snared 25 victims, Luke Wellings 24, Cameron Wood 23, Daniel Boyd 17, Lee Harrison 14, Liam Brennan 13, Lachie Fletcher 12, Nathan Swann 12, Ben France 11 and Daniel Blanch 10.
ROUND Swamp opener Luke Wellings won his fifth bowling average trophy with 10.25 runs per wicket to pip Andrew Fuller, who finished with 10.8. Andrew took out the batting average with 76.33 after he scored 229 runs, but was only dismissed three times. Runner-up was Ben France on 74.5 runs per innings.

Points are awarded - three points for no byes, two points a stumping or one to three byes, one point a catch, or four to six byes.
IN the past 36 seasons, only 11 keepers have won the prize, with Round Swamp legend Barry Hoy leading the way with 15, including 12 in a row. Bob Jex is next best on 6, followed by Stu Wellings 5, D. G. Clare 3, Fred Cameron 2, and Denis Makeham, Martin Smith, Wayne Boyd, Thomas Boyd, Dan Hunt and Brian Mansfield all on one each.
JILLAROOS co-coach Robyn Broadbent was a member of the Greater Northern Tigers team that won their women's rugby league match against Northern Rivers 16-6 at Bellevue Oval at the Armidale Uni last weekend. The squad missed out on going through to the semi-finals of the Country Championships on percentages.
