From April 13 to 16, competitors from all over NSW and Queensland made their way to Merriwa for the championships including riders from Glen Innes, Emmaville, Walcha, Guyra and Armidale.
Team manager Maria Ireland praised the efforts of the Zone 13 competitors.
"The kids all went really well," she said.
"All the kids that rode for the weekend had fun.
"We had a couple of seven-year-olds up to 24-year-olds so we had a big range in ages.
"I was very proud of the kids and they all rode well and showed good sportsmanship."
Starting with the sporting, Zone 13 excelled and the nominated team of Emmaville Pony Club's Chloe Klingner and Walcha's Matthew Ireland, Jess Swanton and Hannah Dunn, were crowned the winning team.
Chloe finished sixth overall in the under 13 category.
Siblings, Brooke and Jasmine, also competed at the championships with Jasmine finishing seventh overall in the under 11s.
Glen Innes Pony Club was also represented. In the 13 to 15 years, Sam Donnelly finishing seventh overall, Emily Mills 17th and Kaitlyn Bennett 26th.
Walcha's Hannah Dunn was the champion of the 15 to 17 years category and Glen's Shannon Williamson was 11th overall.
Matthew Ireland was also reserve champion in 17 and under 26 years category and made the state team.
In the campdrafting, Emily Mills was a standout.
Not only did she finish first in the 13 to 15 years age group, she racked up the highest aggregate score from her two runs.
In the under 13s Chloe Klingner finished seventh.
In the 13 to 15 years, Sam Donnelly came equal sixth and seventh, Brooke Klingner 12th and in the 15 to 17 years, Shannon Williamson finished third with Hannah Dunn coming in ninth.
Matthew Ireland was third in the 17 and under 26 and was named in the state team alongside Emily.
In the team penning, Shannon, Emily and Sam finished third in the under 17s with Kaitlyn, Brooke and Hannah 11th.
In the 17 and under 26 years, Matthew and Rachel and Annabelle Green came fifth.
