Last Sunday, May 12 "Mother's Day", saw a wonderful day of Rugby held out at John Oxley sports ground, the annual Walcha Junior Rugby Gala Carnival. Around 450 junior players, and their families, from around the Central North zone combined for U6s through to U12s Rugby.

I would like to thank the many amazing people who made this day happen, and who made it a great success.
The Lions Club helped us out with a fantastic effort on the barbeques, helping us feed the hoards throughout the day.
Thank you to Suse Crawford for heading up the monumental task of canteen management, and to the many parent helpers in the canteen and barbeque area, thank you.
Thank you to the senior rugby club Rams who helped with the refereeing throughout the day, as well as our young "Academy" referees Harry Partridge, Eugene Campbell, Jack Power, Ben Burwell, Ben Hall and a trio from Tamworth.
Also refereeing were Jason Elms, Jim Hunt and Matilda Hall.
Thank you to all for giving back to the game.
Finally, I would like to thank the wonderful parents of players, who line marked, setup, put up and pulled down the marquee, refereed, marshalled the fields, coached, cooked, manned the canteen, helped at the barbeque, put everything away at the end of the day and enjoyed a celebration when it was all over. Thank you, to all of you who continually help out and make the Walcha Junior Rugby Club the great club that it is.
