" Adjudicators commended the group on their costumes, energy and coordination during the routine," said organising teacher Kristy Lawrence.
"The troupe showed confidence and represented the school with pride. They are to be congratulated for their amazing attitude towards the dance group."
This was the second year Walcha Central School entered a dance troupe in the eisteddfod, and once again Isabelle Haslem and Nicola Hoy created the dance routine.
"Practice has been occurring once a week during the lunch times," said Ms Lawrence.
"Students audition to be part of the dance group, and then a group is selected from auditions."
While most of the dancers attend dance lessons outside of school, not all do.
"There may be half for whom this was only their second year of dance just with school dancing," Ms Lawrence said.
